AGCxml Technical Team

The success of AGCxml in the marketplace will depend entirely on the extent to which support for AGCxml is incorporated into software applications used in the architecture, engineering, construction, and facility management (AEC-FM) industries. To achieve that goal, we welcome any software company to participate in the development of AGCxml at any stage in the process. Also, in recognition of the business imperatives of the software industry, the AGCxml schemas, when completed, will be made publicly available and will be licensed by AGC at no cost and in perpetuity to any party for any legitimate purpose in support of the exchange of AGCxml data.

Some software companies already use XML schemas to exchange some or all of the data that will be included in AGCxml. We invite these companies to share their XML schemas with us, if they so choose. Alternatively, we invite software companies to submit their technical requirements for AGCxml without sharing their proprietary schemas, if they prefer. Finally, we invite software companies to designate representatives to serve on the Review and Validation Committee and participate fully in the RVC's discussions, debate, and consensus decision-making process. Companies interested in participating should contact NIBS AGCxml Project Manager Michael Tardif.
